Delicious Turkey Burger Sliders And Baked French Fries

Turkey Burger Sliders And Baked French Fries. Whoever invented sliders was a genius… these tiny little delicious hamburgers make it easy to make 2, 3 or even 4 different variations. Eat one of each and not feel like a piglet!

Now, what goes better with burgers than fries? Nothing.

And with this Turkey Burger Sliders And Baked French Fries recipe, you can have your sliders and fries and call it a healthy meal. I don’t think comfort food gets better than that.

I made a different kind of slider using turkey, and this was inspired by Mince Recipes and my love of BBQ.

Ingredients

For The Baked French Fries:

  • 8 small potatoes cut into small wedges
  • 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon grated Parmesan optional

For The BBQ Turkey Burger Sliders:

  • 1 pound ground turkey I recommend using ½ thigh and ½ breast
  • ¼ cup red onion finely diced
  • 1 tablespoon red cayenne pepper or paprika
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon black pepper
  • 12 small whole wheat baby hamburger buns or dinner rolls split and warmed
  • 12 small thin slices roma tomatoes
  • ¼ small red onion finely sliced
  • 12 small slices of mild cheddar cheese
  • 12 small dill or bread and butter pickle chips
  • 1 bottle BBQ Sauce

Instructions

For The Baked French Fries:

  • On their way to the oven pix.
  • Preheat the oven to 425°F.
  • Toss potatoes and everything else in a medium-sized mixing bowl until potatoes is as evenly coated as possible.
  • Add potatoes to a baking sheet lined with foil and bake for about 30 – 45 minutes until crispy.
  • About halfway through the baking time, it takes a second to flip the potato wedges over, so the other side cooks well.

For The BBQ Turkey Burger Sliders:

  • Heat oil in a grill pan or large skillet over medium heat.
  • In a large mixing bowl, place turkey, diced red onion, garlic powder, salt, pepper, cayenne pepper or paprika and Worcestershire and mix with CLEAN hands until well combined.
  • Form 1/4 cup of little patties and set aside onto a large plate or cookie sheet.
  • Once your patties are formed, place batches in a hot skillet.
  • Cook for 3-4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  • Add cheese slices to hot patties to melt.
  • Spread BBQ Sauce over both sides of warm rolls, layer the bottom roll with tomato, burger, and red onion and pickle chips.
  • Close that sucker up, and as I said before, go crazy!
