Muscle-Building Turkey Burger
Turkey burgers are a great source of protein. If you want a healthy snack for your workouts, here's the recipe for this tasty muscle-building turkey burger.
Ingredients
- 1 pound minced turkey lean
- 1 cup red onion chopped
- 1 medium Jalapeno pepper diced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons Paprika
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ¾ teaspoon mustard powder
- 2 teaspoons coriander finely chopped
- 4 slices cheese low-fat
- 4 slices tomato
- 4 large leaves lettuce
- 4 medium burger buns wholemeal
Instructions
- Preheat the grill to medium/high heat.
- Put the turkey, onion, jalapeno, soy sauce, pepper, garlic, paprika, cumin, mustard and coriander into a large bowl and mix thoroughly.
- Mould the mixture into 4 burger patties
- Cook the burgers on the grill for 6 to 7 minutes on each side, or until cooked right through
- Put the burgers in the bun along with the cheese slice, tomato and lettuce. Enjoy!
Notes
This turkey burger is an excellent source of protein, with nearly 30 grams in each burger.
