Ingredients
- 4 jumbo portobello mushroom
- 4 cloves garlic minced
- 3 drops liquid smoke (optional)
- 1 pinch salt (to taste)
- 1 pinch black pepper (to taste), freshly ground
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon basil
- ¼ cup balsamic vinegar
- 4 medium burger buns
- 1 small handful spinach leaves
- 1 small handful arugula
- 1 medium onion sliced
- 1 medium avocado ranch dressing dairy-free
- 4 tablespoons cheese sauce vegan dairy free, (optional)
Instructions
- Cut stems off mushrooms—place in a shallow dish and season with salt and pepper.
- Prepare the marinade by whisking together balsamic vinegar, olive oil, liquid smoke, basil, oregano, and garlic. Pour the marinade over the mushrooms and let them rest at room temperature for 15 minutes, turning them over twice.
