This Spicy Moringa Bean Burger is a very special recipe I have perfected recently. It's so easy to do and is so healthy–perfect for having it multiple times a week.
3tablespoonshot sauceCholula hot sauce or sriracha
1teaspoonchilli powder
1teaspoonground cumin
½teaspoonpaprika
¼teaspoonsalt
¼teaspoonpepper
1tablespoonmoringa powder
2slicesbreadwhole-wheat, torn into crumbs
½cupsflouror as needed
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350°F.
Pour the black beans in a bowl and mash them till they are slightly broken up. They do not need to be smooth. Add the yellow onion, garlic, carrots, and green bell pepper. Mix together.
Mix cornstarch, water, Cholula, chilli powder, cumin, paprika, salt, black pepper, and moringa powder in a separate bowl.
Once evenly mixed, pour into the bean mixture. Stir till sauce is evenly distributed.
Add Whole Wheat Bread into the bean mixture. Stir in the flour 1/4 cup at a time. Add more or less flour, depending on preferred consistency. The batter should start to stick together.
Separate mixture into four balls and form each ball into burger-like patties.
Place the patties onto an oiled pan. Cook for 10 minutes on each side.
