There's something about adding bacon into burger that makes the whole thing even more enjoyable. Check out this tasty beef and bacon burger recipe you can do anytime.
Place the beef mince, garlic (chopped), tomato puree, Worcestershire sauce, egg and a pinch each of salt and pepper in a bowl and mix combined – best done with your hands!
Slice the onions very thin and add everything to a non-stick frying pan on medium heat. Let the onions cook. It will take approximately 10 to 15 minutes until the onions are nice and soft (and they get super sweet!)
Shape the meat mixture into 2 large flat patties or use a burger press.
Heat a non-stick frying pan over medium-high heat or turn on the BBQ. Cook the patties for 4 minutes on each side or until cooked to your liking.
In the meantime, fry the bacon in a pan (or the same pan as burgers) until nice and crisp.
Place the patties on the base of the buns and top with cheese, salad leaves, onions, etc. Top with remaining bun halves and put into the oven for 5 minutes or until the cheese has melted – then serve.
