Ingredients

  • 1 pound salmon fillets fresh, skin removed
  • ¼ cup bread crumbs
  • 2 tablespoons dill fresh, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon green onions chopped
  • ½ teaspoon lemon zest
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 medium egg lightly beaten
  • 4 medium hamburger buns whole wheat

Instructions

  • Get your grill or grill pan sizzling at medium-high heat.
  • Give your salmon fillets a chop in a food processor until they’re finely chopped (not pureed!).
  • It’s time to mix things up in a big ol’ bowl! Combine the chopped salmon, bread crumbs, dill, green onions, lemon zest, salt, pepper, and beaten egg. Give it a good stir!
  • Shape the mixture into four equally-sized patties. Give each patty a little extra love and care.
  • Throw those patties on the grill and let them sizzle for about 4-5 minutes on each side until they’re cooked to perfection and a little bit crispy on the outside.
  • Pop your buns on the grill for 1-2 minutes until they’re just the right amount of toasty.
  • Let’s put this burger together! Place the salmon patty on the bottom bun and add all of your favorite toppings. Finish it off with the top bun.
  • Don’t wait, serve up those burgers right away and don’t forget the lemon wedges on the side. Time to dig in!
